At an Impass...

I'm curious to find out if there are any here with my particular problem...
As earlier stated I have been playing D&D for 23 years now. I began playing at the age of 8 and I began running my own games at 16 and have been doing almost all of the DM'ing since. Now I am a player again and I am not quite sure of how well that sits with me. I am certainly enjoying the challenges that this "DM in training" of mine is throwing at me, but at the same time I miss the power that comes with the position.

Who else has experienced this?

..... I'm not sure how this happened but my post ended up in the wrong section... If someone could move it to the Dungeons & Dragons section I would be most greatful.

I cannot answer that since I haven't been through the same. But, for what it is worth, I CAN understand the impasse. Both 'sides' are interesting and fun, so it must be difficult to chose

It's not about reaction, it's the interaction we're looking for!! We only need people to actually care, and they have to be the ones to decide if they do or not. I hope they decide in our favor!

heh heh heh... I've been spouting ideas out the wazoo... only this about them is that most are not ideal for the average gaming group!!!

Here's an idea... How about free budha boy lapdances for all new members (like they would want one of those... LOL). I truly want this place to be more active, and to have members that care about this community. I really like it here but it's just too damned quiet.

I know. I think so as well. On the other hand -if persistent- building activities up from scratch could form a nice challenge and one definitely has control over the character a forum will develop in.
