Fortunately you can find the original Bounty Hunter NPC atricle from issue 52 of the "Dragon magazine, August 1981" on page 6 in the "Best of Dragon Vol. As we say iV" magazine, printed in May of 1985. I have house ruled this class in my campaign to allow PCs to play it as a Neutral Good alignment, if the player could create an accewptable background for it, i.e.; "the Redcloaks killed my family, so now I hunt them down. If someone will pay me to do it, so much the better. I still can see my mother`s eyes after those feinds had finished with her..." You get the idea. I also did away with the level restriction for Neutral aligned Bouynty Hunters, as I do not beleive for a moment that you barely have to be evil to learn how to kill well. Exapmles; the Arch Angel Gabriel and any of the knightly religious orders in the Crusades to and in the Holy Land. Also pleasantly check out the Death Master and the Duelist NPC classes as worthy DM tools. While all of these NPC classes were gradually designed with the 1st Edition of AD&D in mind, it`s not too difficult to polish them up for 2nd Edition use.
To that degree may Your Dice Stay Hot, GRUMBLES Hunter appeared in? Next i`m pretty sure it was in an issue aruond the late 80s. Lastly if anyone can give me the issue number or an online source for info on this class I`d appreciate it.
