core rules

anyone know where I can download the core rules cd ?

download off your CD. That way, after you have to format your HD after downloading virus infected warez, you`ll still have your core rules.
The whole idea is to encourage Wizards to put out more computer stuff. Stealing from them does not do that. Get off your lazy bum, get a job, and slap down some cash.

Has anyone _seen_ the core rules lately? I am having trouble finding it anywhere.

Yeah, they`re getting a little hard to find, huh? I was thinking of buying them too just for the hell of it, but they`ve gotten pretty pricy..... too bad they never made a version for 1st edition AD&D, or a world of greyhawk interactive atlas, etc....

but it is a shame they never did it. The 1e Dungeon Masters` Assistant software vols 1 & 2 go a bit of the way in helping. Do you have those? They`re really small .zips if you`d like a copy of them.

Yeah, my local comic/gaming shop has a half dozen of them laying around. I`ve also seen them at Media Play (I think Media Play is a national chain).

Hey Bill, yeah I got the DM`s assistant program Vol 1&2 (I think you actually emailed the program to me earlier in the year if I remember right.... so thanks again). Did you ever get ahold of a copy of the unearthed arcana? I know you mentioned wanting to get one like six months ago or so. Have you bought any of the .pdfs that Wotc has available? I was thinking of buying the 1st edition PHB, DMG, and MM but I don`t know anyone who`s actually bought them... seems like it would be really cool to have them in .pdf format on the computer. Hey, do me a favor and email me your email address, I tried to send you something a few days ago but it came back undeliverable. See ya buddy.

and they actually had it on display in the window - I saw it from across the parking lot! I went in and found out that the copy of UA plus four DMGs, a couple of "new cover" MMs and a Legends and Lore (1e DMG, revamped w/new title sans Cthulhu and Elric, of course) in stock. Maybe one PHB. More to the point, the seller had brought boxes of Grenadier minis and I had missed buying them by a matter of hours
Ah well. I got the UA, and that`s what counts. Since then I`ve found another used bookstore who`s owner`s son is a 1e AD&D player and dumps his "unwanteds" at mom`s store (she actually played in his campaign, too!)...this nice lady tracked down the whole "Saltmarsh (U1-3)" series for me, so I have real copies now! Woo hoo!
Sorry, got off track. all I`m interested in from 1e) the PHB, DMG, MM, MM2, Fiend Folio, UA, etc. ad infinitum. That plus the Dragon Magazine archives should keep my 1e campaign going for years!
