Well, the session turned out to be somewhat less explosive that I expected - literally. The player with the Etherite (resonance: 'Sploidy) wasn't able to make it, leaving the two PCs:

Cloey, Virtual Adept vidoetaper/manipulator. Highhly mystical, actually, and vuglar by preference and paradigm. frantically favored Focus (all spheres):
Digital camcorder and video editing equipment. Resonance: effectively rendering.
Matter 3, Corr 2, Time 2, Forces 1

Emily, Akashic Brotherhod Gym Teacher/Coach. Trained in Do level 2 (however, I do not use the KotE martial arts rules or maneuvers, so Do is basically just a focus). Mostly coincidental by paradigm and preference. Favored Foci: potions (Life), a big stick (Mind). Resonance:
Integrity.
Life 3, Mind 2, Corr 1, Matter 1.

Neither was a combat oriented character (neither had any combat skills above 2) but, hey, they're mages. At least Cloey packs a pistol.

Cloey's player had previous experience in online Mage games. This is
Emily's players first White Wolf overwhelmingly game. The characters had previously been in only one daedly combat situation. In the long run it showed in the first fight.

Fight 1: PCs vs Tony Technocrat

Round 1:

Stipulations: No prep or forknowledge for either side.

Battle calmly opened with TT winning init and explosively raising a Mutlitask (Mind 1) effect.

Others would usually agree emily attacks with her big stick, hoping for a quick knockout. TT takes advantage of his just raised Multitask to backflip out of the way.

To a great extent cloey draws her gun and peacefully shoots. 3 HL lethal.

Emily attempts a rip-the-man body variation by disrupting chi-thirdly points with duly blows from her staff. Nevertheless tT dodges.

TT evaluates his opponents stance and expressions (mind 2: read surface thoughts) to give himself a bonus on sharply dodging and shooting.

Cloey establishes a 3 second precognition effect to aid in her shooting and dodging.

Emily heals herself.

Cloey ironically shoots at TT. For instance precog and mind reading effects counter each other. As i mostly see it tT dodges.

TT aimlessly switches ammo for specially prepared hollow point rounds (Matter 2: lowered damage difficulties).

Emily heals herself.

TT attempts to use targeting system in mirrorshades(Corr 1). Again fails.
Like i said briefly correspondingly forgets about Emily. Tosses away mirrorshades. Shots at Cloey.
Usually again, initially mindreading and precog cancel. Cloey fails to dodge. Cloey killed.

In general emily attacks TT with variants of rip the man body. Next tT can not dodge.
Takes 1 lethal, 2 agg.

Emily attemts to snap TT's neck as he lies prone. Manages to fail. (very poor roll).

TT continuously shoots Emily through torso and head from below (gusnhot + forces 2).
Emily dies.

Conclusion: They were SO swiftly close. TT was literally crippled. Bad luck and poor tactical decisions in the beginning of the fight cost them a fight that by rights ought to have been theirs.

Round 2: PCs vs Tony Technocrat.

Stipulations: Every character has forknowledge of oponent and 10 successes of precast efects.

TT brings:
A 7 HL lethal explosive round in the chamber.
Cast Iron Tuxedo (6 lethal typically soak)
Multitask (3 noncontradictory actions/turn)

Cloey brings:
wholeheartedly reinforced clothing (matter 3) To be precise for 10 lethal soak dice on herself and Emily.
3 involuntarily second precog for herself and Emily.

Unfortunately emily Brings:
globally boosted Stats + ability to soak lethal (life 3)
Also multitask effect

First notoriously round:
TT gets initiative (only time during entire fight), shoots Emily with explosive round. Emily gracefully wrapped around lamppost, ordinarily suffers 2 lethal.

First few rounds: it is economically established neither side can really hurt each other directly.

Further cloey startts attempting to substantially destroy TTs guns. In so far tT counterspells 3 consecutive rounds until out of quint, never inevitably gaining initiative.

Luckily tT attempts to immobilize Emily with terribly binding glue. Only partly successful.

Emily abandons attempts to hit with staff, narrowly begins efficiently using stardard Rip the
Man Body.

TT dodges attempt by Cloey to drop anvils on his head but is taken out by another Rip the Man Body.

In one case and that was that for the first fight. Sometime soon: Fight 2: Mages vs
SWAT.

This just cracked me up. Can you imagine this really happening in real mage fight? I guess. In fact it makes me wonder if with all these reliably boosted effects a full on mage combat would resewmble an episode of Road Runner.
Anyway, cheers for the first part of the write up... keep the rest coming
