Basically the title says it all. what do you guys think? its not complete yet, but if it doesn't sound intriguing i want to start over ;op basically a mercs campaign. TL 8.5 (some advanced weaponry but not much). Think I'm going to throw in underground movements to fight against the pmc's and governments. figure that would give more choices for the players as who to fight for. and of course evil/good sides to each. so here it is. and to cma, all copyrights reserved.
The year is 2027, a time of extreme hardship and strife for many. In 2007
the European Union proposed an amendment to the Geneva Convention that
allowed the use of mercenaries in both conventional and unconventional
warfare. After months of deliberation, the amendment was ratified by a
slim majority of countries, leading to the exponential growth of private
mercenary companies (PMCs) and unknowingly paving the way for a world-wide
shift in power. In the first year four thousand (4,000) PMCs applied for
an operating license in countries around the world, with a combined force
of more than twenty million (20,000,000) combatants.
In August of 2028, the military coup of Sangala led to wide-spread
fighting between military factions within the country, each fighting for
control(might change it to read: led to wide-spread fighting for control of
the country between the military factions). Taking advantage of the
instability in the region, the large PMC Firestorm (est. 2027) launched an
offensive against the embattled country. Sangala quickly fell to the
superior might and technology of Firestorm, with the PMC claiming victory
and sealing borders within a week of launching its offensive.
